Headliner Spaces presents:
Dune Rats
Dune Rats + Beaf + TV Coma
At a time when true rock tales are as rare as chicken lips, Dune Rats are traveling the globe as punk rock pied pipers, attracting an army of ferocious life enthusiasts who are as willing as they are to throw the dice, turn reality sideways and roll with whatever goes. Ratbags, nerds, delinquents, outcasts, the brave, the loud, the shy – Dune Rats don’t care who or what you are, only that you abide by just one rule – no kooks, no gutties.
Palming Dunies off however as your average trio of wasted lunatics, would be a sad and narrow-minded mistake. These three take as much pleasure in overt politeness and the odd spot of gardening as they do in the eyes-wide open adventure of tilting reality. But at the core of it all – the platform for everything that follows – is their uncalculated lust for making music. It’s taken them from Brisbane to the US, Europe, South Africa (ask them how the hell they found themselves here!), China, Indo, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, a small seaside shanty South of Sydney.
Live the Dune Rats way – ‘NO KOOKS, NO GUTTIES!!’

Line Up
“Real Rare Whale takes the gloomy state of the world and turns it entirely on its head via the trio’s established knack for crafting melodics with cohesion and a cheeky aesthetic, ultimately forming what will undoubtedly go on to become one of the biggest feel-good albums of 2022” 9/10 – Hysteria Mag
There is no doubt that this album is there to help you lose all your inhibitions and have fun. Real Rare Whale is a down to earth feel good album that will no doubt earn a place in everyone’s hearts. Simply put, the Dunies have done it again. Rating: 9/10 - Distorted Sound Mag
By the time the record comes to a close with If This Is The End it almost feels as though you’re returning from a day of partying on the beach after drunkenly giggling with friends - your skin is sun-kissed, your hair salty from the ocean’s waves and your head is full of a euphoric, smile-induced headache. It’s brilliant fun. Verdict: 4/5 - Kerrang
In what feels like their fastest, funnest and punniest Dune Rats album yet, the slew of party-starting bangers, including single “What A Memorable Night”, are clear dance-floor fillers. 4/5 Stars - Rolling Stone
Beaf
Formed in a cesspit of post-university malaise, TV COMA are a power-pop band based in Brighton. After gaining coverage on Spotify’s “Hot New Bands” playlist, plus airplay from Radio X, BBC Introducing, Louder and Fresh On The Net, the four-piece have just released WUSS, their debut full-length album. WUSS is named after an essay by Bret Easton Ellis called “Generation Wuss” which criticises the millennial generation. On their debut, TV COMA look to re-appropriate the word for their own disenfranchised generation by writing punk-flecked millennial pop songs drawn from the personal experiences of co-frontmen and siblings Max and Leo Troy. Delving into the psychology of the disoriented 20-to-30-year-old, WUSS is a scathing, empathetic and essential new record; laying bare all facets of a generation left blinking at the lights of a rapidly changing world that they helped create, but no longer understand.
