El Moono and InTechnicolour are heading to The Pioneer Club for an astounding co-headlined bill.

Metal Hammer’s ones to watch 2022. Signing to Lockjaw Records marks a new era for El Moono, who have just released bone-shaking new record Temple Corrupted, following Small Pond released single “Thanks for Nothing” in 2019, and heavy touring around the UK & EU with the likes of Black Peaks, Phoxjaw, Press to MECO and more. El Moono will tear the roof of the place with a sound that you cannot escape and that you cannot miss.

"EL MOONO are a blizzard of long hair and grungy riffs, interspersed with wah-spiked freak-outs…All The Riffs" - Kerrang!

InTechnicolour are an inventive four-piece comprised of technically gifted musicians, cutting loose and playing music that’s about as far removed from their day jobs as it’s possible to get – and they are doing it better than a good portion of their contemporaries. Landing somewhere between the slack desert-groove of Kyuss and Karma To Burn, the band combine deeply satisfying riffs with a dynamic vocal style, which calls to mind the sounds of Baroness, Gojira and Mastodon.

"We are a band who care about our sound, sonically, lyrically, structurally, nothing is half-arsed, we just want to write and perform huge riffs at high volumes with catchy choruses!" - Tobie, InTechnicolour

Line Up

2018 saw the band release their first two singles - Over The Weather and Killing Time from their debut EP Tides. EL MOONO toured the UK in support of the songs, playing headline shows alongside fellow Brightoners MY-HI, and support slots with the likes of Black Peaks, Press To Meco, Fangclub, Husky Loops, October Drift and more.

Following the release of Tides and packed-out EP launch at Brighton's Hope & Ruin on 31st May 2018, EL MOONO returned with the explosive new single Catalyst (released 12th October 2018). Recorded with Ben Hampson (Tigercub, Blood Red Shoes), the single delves even further into the bands math-tinged grunge explorations. The band made their European debut in March 2019 with a special run of packed out headline performances, before hitting the UK festival scene hard in the summer. Having released single Aura on 18th April 2019 in aid of the charity Victim Support, the song (produced by Josh Gallop of Phoxjaw), tackled the issues of domestic violence, from the point of view of both victims and the emotions of victim supporters. The band released single Thanks for Nothing through Brighton record label Small Pond in late 2019, before heading back into the studio with Thanks for Nothing producer Sam Coveney (Intechnicolour) to make their new record.

Signing to Lockjaw Records marks a new era for Brighton alt-rock quartet El Moono. Following Small Pond released single Thanks for Nothing in 2019, and heavy touring around the UK & Europe with the likes of Black Peaks, Phoxjaw, Haggard Cat, Fangclub, Press to MECO and more - El Moono are back with a vengeance and a new record (TBA). Recorded at The Old Chapel Studios with Sam Coveney and mastered by Tom Hill at the Bookhouse Studio, it explores themes of human self-destruction and depression, containing seven emotive tracks that flow together to create an overarching musical narrative with poignant concepts. With influences of rock, hardcore, metal and grunge, the off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riffs, emotive songs and expressive lyricism combine to create a sound that’s difficult to pigeonhole. Don’t sleep on these up and coming trailblazers - El Moono are here to stay.

"EL MOONO are a blizzard of long hair and grungy riffs, interspersed with wah-spiked freak-outs…All The Riffs" - Kerrang!

“The Brighton quartet possess the ability to present your ears with pummelling rhythms, visceral vocals and momentous riffs which their current contemporaries could only dream of producing.” - All Things Loud

Brighton-based stoner/groove rock quintet. Comprised of members from the likes of Delta Sleep, LUO and Physics House Band, they are a fully formed band of technically gifted musicians cutting loose. Through their combination of haunting, powerful vocals, suspenseful, progressive clean sections and anthemic, unforgettable choruses, they fall somewhere between the slack desert-groove of Kyuss and Karma to Burn. Meanwhile the dynamic vocal style also calls to mind the sounds of Baroness, Gojira and Mastodon.

Formed in a cesspit of post-university malaise, TV COMA are a power-pop band based in Brighton. After gaining coverage on Spotify’s “Hot New Bands” playlist, plus airplay from Radio X, BBC Introducing, Louder and Fresh On The Net, the four-piece have just released WUSS, their debut full-length album. WUSS is named after an essay by Bret Easton Ellis called “Generation Wuss” which criticises the millennial generation. On their debut, TV COMA look to re-appropriate the word for their own disenfranchised generation by writing punk-flecked millennial pop songs drawn from the personal experiences of co-frontmen and siblings Max and Leo Troy. Delving into the psychology of the disoriented 20-to-30-year-old, WUSS is a scathing, empathetic and essential new record; laying bare all facets of a generation left blinking at the lights of a rapidly changing world that they helped create, but no longer understand.
